KUALA LUMPUR – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has been hospitalised and is receiving healthcare treatment due to pain in his leg.

In a statement issued by Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, it said Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah is scheduled to return home in the near future once his treatment has been completed.

“His Majesty’s health is generally in good condition and not alarming. All programmes planned for today and the near future involving His Majesty have been postponed.”

Fadil then called on the people to pray for His Majesty’s health.

It is not the first time this year that the Agong was in hospital.

On January 22, His Majesty was admitted to the National Health Institute to undergo health check-up and follow-up treatment.

Fadil had said the procedure followed an intervention treatment for His Majesty’s knee joints and ankle, which he underwent in September 2020. – The Vibes, June 20, 2022
