KUALA LUMPUR – The Pakatan Harapan (PH) presidential council is set to contest the 15th general election (GE15) under a single PH logo.

In a brief statement today, the council stated that it will focus on consolidating efforts to strengthen the coalition itself.

“A new design, among others, will be considered to provide a new image and fresh input towards the build-up to the general election,” the council stated among other things that it had resolved during its meeting last night.

Last night, DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook reportedly said that all PH component parties have agreed in principle that PH will be using a single logo for GE15, although that PKR has suggested some minor changes on the current one to rebrand the coalition.

PKR’s proposal, he said, will be discussed by the coalition.

During the 14th general election, PH was forced to contest under the PKR logo after the Registrar of Societies (RoS) refused to approve the coalition’s registration as a body and its logo.

The RoS had then pointed out issues regarding PH’s former component party Bersatu’s documentation.

The issue involving the coalition and its logo emerged again during the Johor election when PKR decided to use its party logo while DAP and Amanah opted to utilise the coalition’s colours. – The Vibes, August 25, 2022
