KUALA LUMPUR – Another two men were charged today over the recent kidnapping of a Palestinian this month.

Free Malaysia Today reported that the two men – Mohd Zaidi Zain, 54, and Tengku Hazarul Ismail Tengku Hamid, 49 – were charged at the magistrates’ court.

Their charges are under Section 3 of the Kidnapping Act 1961, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which provides for the death penalty or life imprisonment and whipping.

No plea was recorded as the case will be transferred to the high court.

Similar charges were brought against 11 people earlier this month for the kidnapping on September 28.

The Palestinian was said to possess information on deactivating a computer software used to hack mobile phones.

The kidnapping was later reported by the New Straits Times as a plot by Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, using Malaysians as its operatives. Police are investigating this claim. – The Vibes, October 26, 2022
