KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds warning for most states across Malaysia until around 4pm today.

In a statement issued this afternoon it listed some of the affected places as Langkawi, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baru in Kedah, Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak and Batang Padang in Perak, as well as Penang.

While in the south, stormy weather will affect Gombak and Hulu Langat in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, and Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Kluang in Johor.

On the east coast, wet conditions will be experienced in Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, and Dungun in Terengganu, and Cameron Highlands in Pahang.

In East Malaysia, similar weather will be felt in Limbang in Sarawak. and Sipitang, Tenom and Nabawan in Sabah. – Bernama, October 26, 2022
