KUALA LUMPUR – Some 30 film production crew members were trapped in Gua Tempurung in Gopeng, Perak after the entrance was flooded.

Kampar district police chief Mohamad Nazri Daud said in a statement that the crew from Hong Kong was working at the location when a downpour started around 3pm today.

He added that the police received an incident report at about 4pm.

“Rescue teams have been deployed to escort the crew members out via the cave’s back entrance.”

Gua Tempurung is among Perak’s popular tourist locations where visitors can try their hand at cave exploration and some extreme sports.

It is also home to the peninsula’s largest and longest limestone cave. – The Vibes, October 26, 2022
