SANDAKAN – Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are expected to clash in Beluran as Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee is expected to show up for nomination in Beluran Hall today.

In a media WhatsApp group created for Kiandee’s election coverage, his media officer confirmed that he will be sharing pictures of Kiandee going to the nomination centre with the group.

Kiandee was dropped as a candidate from the GRS-BN side despite being Beluran MP since 1999, to give way to Umno’s candidate and former Sandakan Municipal Council’s president Benedict Asmat.

GRS and Sabah BN leaders had previously announced many times that the two parties will not clash seats.

Beluran was the last seat, in which its GRS-BN candidate was announced, as both Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar and GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor admitted having a hard time determining who gets to contest.
