KOTA KINABALU – Warisan’s Jamil Hamzah who won the Bugaya state by-election has been sworn in before the Sabah Legislative Assembly today. 

Jamil won the Bugaya seat comfortably with a 6,629 vote-majority. 

He beat Barisan Nasional’s candidate from Umno, Abd Aziz Mohd Ibno; Pakatan Harapan’s Arastam Pandorog, independent candidate Jufazli Shi Ahmad, Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah candidate Kari Pg Kuraini, Pejuang’s Mohd Hassan Abu Bakar and Parti Bangsa Malaysia’s Nazmawati Walli. 

The Bugaya seat has been left vacant since the Sabah election in 2020 after the passing of its incumbent Manis Muka Mohd Darah on November 17, 2020. – The Vibes, November 25, 2022
