KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wished his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail a happy birthday with a heartfelt message on his Facebook page.

Wishing the Bandar Tun Razak MP on her 70th birthday in the wee hours of the morning, Anwar uploaded a picture of Wan Azizah taking a picture of him in conversation with Turkiye president Recep Tayyip Erdogan following his appointment as prime minister last week.

“A person, woman, wife who is patient, loving and devoted.

"A mother who never gets tired of showering love," he said.

Anwar also described Azizah as the main supporter of his “falling and getting up” in life, even crediting her for being the driving force behind his achievements today.

“I am always grateful. Without Azizah by my side, it is impossible for me to be able to carry such a heavy responsibility right now.

“I pray that Azizah is always under Allah’s protection. Happy birthday!,” he posted along with two heart-shaped emojis in the status.

Meanwhile, the couple’s eldest child Nurul Izzah Anwar also wished her mother through Facebook.

“Happy Birthday, Mama,” she posted on the social media network, in addition to uploading a picture of herself with Wan Azizah. – The Vibes, December 4, 2022
