PUTRAJAYA – The Human Resources Ministry has clarified that it has never held any discussion on the Foreign Employee Recruitment and Human Resource Management System with any party.
The ministry also clarified that a statement saying the ministry was giving its full support to the system was false.
“(The ministry) hopes that the explanation will answer any questions or confusion among employers or the industries, especially the diplomatic representation of the source countries in Malaysia regarding (the recruitment system),” read the statement.
The ministry explanation was referring to a media report yesterday, which among others said that the recruitment system would be able to address human trafficking as well as expedite the entry of foreign workers.
The report also stated that the recruitment system fulfilled regulations on hiring foreign workers, including the conditions set by Malaysia and source nations. – Bernama, April 9, 2023
