KUALA LUMPUR – A frivolous suit initiated overseas – this, according to Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, sums up the alleged insolvency action against him.
Earlier today, Insolvency Department records were released revealing that the Country Heights Holdings Bhd (CHHB) founder was supposedly declared bankrupt by the Shah Alam High Court on January 26.
Speaking to The Vibes, Lee said he will be fighting the declaration and any attempts to smear his reputation.
“I did not declare myself bankrupt as has been misreported, someone declared it,” he said when contacted.

Records show that the petitioner goes by the name Gerald Patrick Healy.
Lee said the dispute involved RM3 million over a matter in the United States.
“More will be revealed at a press conference tomorrow,” Lee said.
Lee is holding the press conference at noon tomorrow at the Mines Beach Resort.
Lee, 68, is known for properties such as the Palace of the Golden Horses and the Mines. – The Vibes, April 12, 2023
