PETALING JAYA – Putrajaya has allocated an additional RM3.07 million for the construction of the Changlun Mosque in Kedah.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this was a part of the unity government’s promise that each state will receive equal development opportunities under his administration.

“The unity government is committed to ensuring balanced development among all states in the nation,” he said in a statement this evening.

He said the government has agreed to continue with the construction of the Changlun Mosque, with the additional allocation making the whole project worth RM5.77 million.

Anwar added the project will be implemented immediately so that it can benefit the local community.

In light of this, Anwar reiterated that the unity government does not marginalise any state for the sake of the people.

He added that the project was Putrajaya’s commitment to shouldering its responsibilities by placing the people’s interests as its main priority. – The Vibes, April 30, 2023
