KUALA LUMPUR – Pakatan Harapan (PH) is confident in securing at least 50 seats in the coming Selangor polls, said the coalition’s state election director Mohd Yahya Sahri.
He said his projection was based on a recent survey that shows increased support, especially from the Malay community, for the unity government.
The uptick in Malay support was also due to PH’s cooperation with Barisan Nasional, he was quoted as saying by Utusan Malaysia.
“Based on our observation, the current situation shows that there has been an increase in support from the Malay community.
“So, PH is confident of securing 50 out 56 state seats in the coming election,” he said in an event last night.
The Tg Karang PKR division chief reiterated his confidence in the coming state election as parties in the unity government are expected to receive consolidated support from BN and PH supporters.
Yahya also said that PH has also been gearing up for the elections much earlier.
“Preparations included all districts including northern Selangor. Cooperation within the unity government is also strengthening and I'm confident that we will retain Selangor.”
