PETALING JAYA – Hot meals are back on Malaysia Airlines flights for some sectors after the national carrier received additional equipment for its in-flight meal preparations.

This was revealed by Transport Minister Anthony Loke himself on his Facebook after he flew the airlines from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching today.

“This morning, I took a flight to Kuching to attend the cabinet meeting and the Malaysia Day celebrations later.

“Hot meals are being reintroduced in stages for various sectors, including KL-Kuching,” he said.

He also shared a picture of his in-flight meal.

“For sure, MH’s signature meal, satay, is also served for those in business class.

“Any inconvenience on other flights is deeply regretted, and be assured, Malaysia Airlines will strive to restore the situation completely as soon as possible,” he said.

In a statement recently, Malaysia Airlines announced the reinstatement of hot meal services on board its domestic and international routes affected by the recent catering transition, with the arrival of 10 new high-lift trucks ahead of schedule.

Malaysia Airlines said it anticipates the arrival of another 10 high-lifts in the coming months, while proactively enhancing and fine-tuning its pre-packaged meal components during the interim period. – The Vibes, September 16, 2023
