PETALING JAYA - Fear of flying is not a pleasant feeling, especially when taking a flight is necessary.
For one Malaysia Airlines passenger who had a phobia of turbulence, smooth handling of the aircraft came as a blessing.
So much so that the passenger who had boarded a Malaysia Airlines flight to Kuching from Kuala Lumpur on Oct 6 felt a thank you note was in order.
The passenger penned a gratitude note on an air sickness bag, thanking the captain for flying smoothly despite the cloudy weather.
"I've a terrible phobia of turbulence and was worried that the late evening flight would be bumpy. Thank you guys for the amazing experience. I truly appreciate it. Hope you guys have a great weekend," the passenger wrote.
Captain Paul Lau of MH2522 shared the note on Facebook where he thanked the passenger for the appreciation, on behalf of the flight crew.
"Your kind words have brightened our day and encouraged us to provide you and our passengers the best we could," Lau said.
"I also wish to apologise that the seatbelt signs were turned on most of the time due to adverse weather. Looking forward to seeing you onboard again," Lau added.
Lau also shared the note on the Malaysia Airlines public group and it has since amassed over 500 shares.
Many commended Lau and his crew with one Facebook user saying Malaysia Airlines has been their favourite for the past 38 years. - The Vibes, October 11, 2023
