KUALA LUMPUR – Vietnam’s own Covid-19 vaccine Nanocovax has been administered to three volunteers yesterday.

According to Vietnam News, Nanocovax is developed by the Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC and the Vietnam Military Medical University.

It is the country’s first Covid-19 candidate vaccine to reach human trials.

They are divided into three groups – 25 mcg, 50 mcg and 75 mcg, with two injections 28 days apart.

The test subjects will be monitored at the Military Medical University in Hanoi for 72 hours and continued observation for six months.

The first phase is expected to end after a month and a half and the second phase will begin in March.
