Beijing reports 2 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases

BEIJING – The Chinese capital yesterday reported two new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases, reported the Xinhua news agency, citing the municipal health commission.

Both female patients are in the city’s Shunyi district.

One of them, aged 23, was previously asymptomatic, while the other, a 51-year-old, was a close contact of an earlier confirmed case.

Epidemiological investigations are ongoing.

The health commission said there were no new imported infections yesterday. – Bernama, January 16, 2021
