THE REGENT of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has won praise and admiration for his recent act of saving a trapped eagle.

The incident unfolded when Tengku Hassanal was on a four-day expedition called Ekspedisi Mahkota Mudik Sungai Pahang 2024 when he stumbled on the trapped bird.

He spotted the bird struggling to free itself after it got entangled in a fish trap near the Kampung Ganding jetty in Jerantut.

He then steered his entourage to where the bird was and personally cut the rope in an attempt to free the bird.

He was accompanied by Tengku Panglima Raja Brigadier Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, who also helped him to get the bird free.

Tengku Hassanal later got the Fire and Rescue Department to release the eagle in a safe environment. – The Vibes, March 8, 2024
