FIREMEN were called in to rescue a young boy whose foot got stuck in a metal drain grate yesterday.

According to reports in The New Straits Times, the incident occurred about 4.30pm while the boy was playing near Jalan 2/15, Taman Sri Saujana in Kota Tinggi.

Photographs showed the boy, in a t-shirt and shorts sitting on the metal drain cover.

His right foot was trapped in the metal grate.
