THE two Singaporeans who were found dead at a homestay in Taman Tayton View, Cheras last Friday were confirmed to be married.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said further investigations found no criminal elements in the incident.
“The investigation found that the cause of death of both victims was sudden death (SDR). The bodies of the married couple are now at the Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) and their families have been informed of the incident,” he said after attending the Safe PPR Smart City Community Wellbeing Program at the Desa Rejang People's Housing (PPR) Project in Kuala Lumpur.
It was earlier reported that two Singaporean individuals were found dead in a room at the homestay, where all the air conditioners and windows had been covered with adhesive tape and plastic garbage bags.
Cheras District Police Chief, Aidil Bolhassan said the bodies of the 43-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were found by cleaners who checked the residences after the victims failed to be contacted several times. - May 18, 2025
