INSPECTOR-General of Police, Datuk Seri Mohd. Khalid Ismail said he has never been involved in any political party during his 38 years in the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

"I accept what has happened with an open heart. The newspaper involved has already requested to meet with me. I will meet with them soon, InsyaAllah.

“I request everyone present, including the journalists, to provide the best and most complete reports and not to shy away from what should be reported.

“I hope that the close and friendly relationship continue between the police and all journalists because it is a priority for us to provide the best reports,” he said.

He said this when met at the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) Monthly Assembly today.

He said that his party will also discuss, listen to views and provide what needs to be done in the future to avoid the same issue recurring.

He further clarified that PKR Secretary-General, Datuk Fuziah Salleh has also explained everything besides confirming that he has never held any position in PKR.

Mohd Khalid was born on April 8, 1965 in Manong, Perak and graduated with a Master's Degree in Comparative Laws from the International Islamic University of Malaysia.

He is a very experienced officer in the field of intelligence/security since he began serving in the PDRM team on April 5, 1987 when he was placed in the Special Branch of the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters, after completing General Policing Training in the same year.

Mohd Khalid has experience serving at the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters, contingents and abroad. – June 23, 2025
