MINISTER for Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri hopes the investigation into the death of a private university student in Cyberjaya who is believed to have been murdered will be conducted with transparency and integrity so justice can be served.

In a Facebook post today, Nancy took time to visit the family of the late Maniishapriet Kaur Akhara, 20, before the religious ceremony related to her cremation was held in Kuala Lumpur.

“This morning I had the opportunity to visit the family of the victim of the tragic incident in Mutiara Ville, Cyberjaya before leaving for Putrajaya. I took the time to chat with the victim’s family.

“I express my condolences to the entire family of the late Maniishapriet Kaur Akhara for this very sad loss. May they be given strength and fortitude in facing this trying time,” she said today.

She also prayed that all the affairs of the victim’s family would be made easier.

It was earlier reported that a female student at a private university in Cyberjaya was found dead in her home, believed to have been murdered on Tuesday morning.
