BARISAN Nasional (BN) will send an official letter to MIC seeking an explanation over the actions of its leader in attending the Bersatu Youth AGM in Shah Alam on Saturday.

BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said MIC needs to provide a written explanation because Bersatu is not part of the BN coalition but  an opposition party.

According to him, this should not have happened since BN is part of the government.

"We leave it to the MIC leadership to take any disciplinary action based on its party rules and they will also be asked by the BN Secretary-General to provide a written explanation as to why they sent a representative," he said.

On Saturday, the media reported that MIC Deputy Youth Chief, K Kesavan attended the Bersatu youth AGM.

Lesavan was seen sitting in the front row with PN Chairman and Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
