PARTI Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) is looking at a potential collaboration with the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) ahead of the upcoming Sabah General Election.

Its president, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, said discussions with Upko tomorrow, would likely determine whether the two parties will work together.

"Talks with Upko president Datuk Ewon Benedick had received a positive response, suggesting the possibility of collaboration," said Jeffrey, adding that the party had gone ahead with announcing some of its candidates as scheduled despite  discussions still taking place.

Earlier, Jeffrey announced that Star would contest 40 seats, but only 29 candidates were named, with the remaining to be finalised and announced by Nov 14.

Addressing concerns about potential defections, particularly in light of past incidents, Jeffrey reminded all candidates to remain loyal.

He also hinted that Star could form more partnerships with other parties beyond SAPP soon. – November 12, 2025
