KUALA LUMPUR – More than 1,000 young graduates are expected to gain exposure in the construction industry under the MYJob@Wilayah scheme, which aims, among others, to provide temporary employment opportunities to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said 30 developers are taking part in the scheme.

"God willing, about 1,000 or more young graduates are expected to be exposed to the construction industry under the MyJob@WilayahPrihatin scheme with the cooperation of more than 30 developers in the Federal Territories," he tweeted.

Annuar said the developers included MRCB Bhd, JL99 Sdn Bhd, Mah Sing, Platinum Victory, Ekovest Sdn Bhd and Binastra Sdn Bhd.

"As of September this year, 653 positions have been offered," he said.

Launched in July under the Wilayah Prihatin plan, the scheme offers employment opportunity in five other fields, namely services, maintenance, cleaning, manufacturing and packaging. – Bernama, December 29, 2020
