AT LEAST eight leaders of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) from Perak have been sacked from the party as of 6 pm today.

Of the 17 leaders sacked by the Bersatu Disciplinary Board so far, those from Perak have topped the list.

Four elected representatives, consisting of three Members of Parliament and one State Assemblyman (ADUN), were among those who received the sack, along with four other Bersatu division leaders.

They are Larut Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin; Gerik Member of Parliament, Fathul Huzir Ayob; Padang Rengas Member of Parliament, Azahari Hasan and Sungai Manik Assemblyman, cum Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council Member, Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharudin.

As for the division leaders, those who were sacked included Teluk Intan Bersatu Chief Kamaruddin Majid; Gopeng Bersatu Chief Ahmad Ishak; Larut Bersatu Chief Mohd Hassundi Hamzah and Tapah Bersatu Chief Mohd Yunus Mhd Yusop.

Meanwhile, Zainol Fadzi confirmed his dismissal along with other Bersatu leaders from Perak.

According to him, based on the explanation in the letter sent today, the reason for the sacking was due to violating Clause 9.1.4 of the Bersatu Constitution.

He also admitted that all the Bersatu leaders from Perak did not attend the hearing session set by the party's Disciplinary Board.

Earlier, the media reported that apart from the eight leaders from Perak, six others were also dismissed, including Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal and Sabah Bersatu Secretary Yunus Nurdin. – February 13, 2026
