Police launch an investigation after a young girl was allegedly molested by a foreign man at a business premises in Sungai Buloh - August 2, 2026

POLICE are tracking down a foreign man believed to be involved in the alleged molestation of a young girl at a business premises in Sungai Buloh on Wednesday (July 29).

Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said police received a report regarding the incident and immediately began investigations.

“Initial investigations found that the victim is believed to have been molested by the suspect, a foreign man.

“Police are tracking down the suspect to assist in the investigation,” he said in a statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Supt Mohd Hafiz urged members of the public with information related to the case to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Muhammad Amirul Amin Shukor, at 013-669 5290 or the Sungai Buloh district police headquarters at 03-6156 1222.

He also encouraged anyone with relevant information to visit their nearest police station to assist authorities in the investigation. - August 2, 2026
