KOTA KINABALU – Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) respects voters’ decision, said president Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, after the local outfit lost in all 73 seats it contested in the state election.
In a statement today, he said PCS is humbled by the defeat, but proud that Sabahans fulfilled their responsibility to vote.
“Do not forget that we are a new party, barely two months old. We still received votes despite losing.
“The numbers may be small, but are sufficient for a party with a long-term struggle.”
He expressed hope that party members will continue to champion Sabahans’ rights.
Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, which comprises Perikatan Nasional, Barisan Nasional and Parti Bersatu Sabah, yesterday took 38 of Sabah’s 73 state seats, winning the polls with a simple majority. – Bernama, September 27, 2020
