No IGP directive to report anti-vaxxers via police portal: Bukit Aman

KUALA LUMPUR – Bukit Aman has described as fake a message in which top cop Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani purportedly asks the public to report anti-vaccine groups to a police portal.

A. Skandaguru of federal police’s Corporate Communications Department in a statement today said the message, which has gone viral on social media, asks people to report “anti-vaccine instigators” via this site.

“The portal is actually for police’s pilot project in several locations, for people to lodge reports on non-criminal cases and for matters requiring further investigation.

“Anyone who has doubts (on a message’s authenticity) can ask police on our Facebook page or other social media accounts.” – Bernama, June 6, 2021
