KUALA LUMPUR – MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong has left Istana Negara about 12.50pm after an hour-long audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
He had earlier arrived at 11.54 am.
Earlier, PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man had an audience with the ruler on behalf of his party president, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, who has been warded at the National Heart Institute.
Tuan Ibrahim arrived in a black Toyota SUV about 10.20am, and left Istana Negara at 11.36am after an hour-long audience with the king.
Hadi had originally received the summons but could not present himself to the king as he is ill.
In a statement later, Tuan Ibrahim said he and the king spoke about the current Covid-19 situation, the state of emergency and parliamentary sittings.
“His Majesty was very open and friendly in our discussions, but he was serious about matters related to the ongoing Covid-19 cases,” Tuan Ibrahim said.

Pejuang chief and former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is slated to see Sultan Abdullah at 2.30pm today. Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal’s appointment is at 3.30pm.
Yesterday, the king had met with prime minister and Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, opposition leader and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, and Amanah chief Mohamad Sabu. – The Vibes, June 10, 2021
