Sarawak enters NRP Phase 2 on Wednesday, daily Covid-19 count down to 235

MIRI – Sarawak will enter Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan on Wednesday, with dine-in restrictions eased and selected business sectors allowed to reopen.

The state Disaster Management Committee secretariat said Sarawak is confident that it can transition all the way to Phase 4.

The state today logged another 235 Covid-19 infections and one fatality – a 59-year-old woman who died at Sri Aman Hospital.

Of the new cases, Kuching saw 88, Lundu (28), Miri (22), Sibu (20) and other districts (fewer than 10).

The new Kg Kendaie cluster was detected in Lundu district, with 23 villagers testing positive for the coronavirus after attending a funeral. – The Vibes, July 12, 2021
