KOTA KINABALU – Warisan Youth chief Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman said Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin would be doing the right thing if he were to resign tomorrow.
After word spread that Muhyiddin might tender his resignation to Yang di-Pertuan Agong tomorrow, the former deputy home minister said it would be good news to the country if it were true.
“He is resigning? Good. It means that he understands the constitution. When one no longer commands the majority, he should resign.
“If it is true then good, he is doing the right thing,” Azis told The Vibes.
However, the Sepanggar MP said he does not wish to comment further until the information is confirmed.
Last week, Azis tweeted a clarification that Warisan will not support Muhyiddin and his “defective government”.
Other Sabah’s political leaders have not responded to The Vibes on Muhyiddin’s possible resignation.
On Friday, Muhyiddin had desperately begged for opposition lawmakers to back him in the upcoming vote of confidence on September 7.
