MIRI – PKR and DAP have resolved their dispute over seat negotiations and look forward to taking on incumbent Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) as a united team, said Sarawak PKR vice-chairman Dr Michael Teo Yu Keng.

Dr Teo, who is also Sarawak Pakatan Harapan (PH) deputy chairman and Miri MP, told The Vibes that PKR, DAP and Amanah have consolidated as candidates head to their respective nomination centres today.

He said all PH component parties will support and help each other as the state heads to the polls on December 18.

“We have set aside all the recent minor problems with regard to the seat allocation (between Sarawak PKR and Sarawak DAP).

“Today, we are a united front in Sarawak PH. PKR will give complete support to DAP and Amanah in terms of manpower and logistics in the seats they are contesting.

“They, in return, will help PKR in the seats we are contesting. The common goal for us is to stop GPS from regaining power.

“Sarawak PH must be united in bringing down GPS that has so much government money and material resources at its disposal, as well as unfair advantages.”

He added that Sarawak PH parties will have common goals in their manifestos, which will be unveiled soon.

Nomination opens this morning throughout the 82 constituencies.

Polling day will be on December 18, with early voting on December 14. – The Vibes, December 6, 2021
