GEORGE TOWN – Social media bombshell Siew Pui Yi who made history by becoming the first Malaysian woman to be featured on the cover of Penthouse’s issue this month, has revealed that the theft of her personal photographs had convinced her to pose nude.
In excerpts of interviews done over social media, Siew, who was apparently born in Kuala Lumpur but spent her formative years in Butterworth, Penang, said she had posed for nude photographs. which she stored in her laptop.
The data on the laptop was hacked when she sent it for repairs in 2019, and someone tried to extort her by seeking RM50,000 for the return of the revealing photographs.
Siew apparently lodged a police report but there was no breakthrough in the investigations before she found some of the photos on a Facebook account.
Some of the photos also made it into explicit sites. It prompted her to contemplate suicide before she apparently came back from the brink and decided to “take control” of the situation.
The lass decided to pose for more sexy shots, swelling up her Instagram account to some 17 million viewers as she allowed herself to be photographed in various erotic poses in exotic locations throughout the country.
Some of the background shots appear to feature the touristy destinations of Penang and Langkawi as well as Pangkor.
In other interviews available on social media accounts, Siew disclosed that she hailed from a poor family, who had resettled in Kg Gajah in Butterworth.
The village has since made way for new housing development projects.
Despite her hardships, Siew emerged with 9As in her SPM in 2014, but she endured tough times trying to adjust at a college here for a degree programme.
Earlier, she was a secondary school student at SMK Datuk Onn Butterworth.
It was believed that she decided to resettle in Kuala Lumpur and began pursuing her career as a model, who has since reached online “cult” status with millions of followers.
Despite the pandemic-induced environment, Siew managed to have several shots of her sampling the outdoor life.
Siew’s debut on Penthouse has sent the social media abuzz as many fellow Malaysians were curious to know about who the young woman is.
In a brief backgrounder on her, Penthouse editorialised that she was from Penang, but in earlier interviews, Siew said that she only moved to the state when she was nine.
Siew said her sprawling Instagram audience that: “It’s my honour to be the first Southeast Asian on Penthouse’s January 2022 cover issue”.
“I can’t describe how happy I am to be the pet of the month,” she said, adding that she was grateful to a “pet manager” of the magazine for everything.
“I’m so grateful. It feels as if I’m dreaming,” she added.
In a recent post on her Instagram account, Siew has shared the results of her widespread success and fame, with the purchase of a brand new Porsche car.
“I’m filled with joy and tears. Finally achieved a goal I had since high school. I got myself a Porsche at 23. This gift is dedicated to myself for the Christmas month,” she said in her post as she posed in nothing but undergarments inside the vehicle.
Further checks on her social media accounts revealed that she may be engaged to a fellow social media personality and that she has earned a considerable amount in her role as an influencer.
Meanwhile attempts to contact Edwin Goh, who is said to be the photographer behind the shots of Siew, who goes by the moniker of MsPuiYi, was futile.
He has so far declined to answer messages and calls to his cell number, which he advertised for his photography services. – The Vibes, January 1, 2022
