BUTTERWORTH – It was jarring for a teacher at SMK Dato Onn here to find her once beloved student on the cover of the raunchy Penthouse magazine.

The teacher, who declined to be named, said she could not believe that Siew Pui Yi, 23, is now modelling nude, seeing she left school only in 2014 after taking the SPM examination.

“Initially, I could not accept that Pui Yi had taken up modelling. Some of my peers and colleagues showed me her pictures that appeared on social media. I was shocked.

“She was a humble, quiet and down-to-earth student who did not speak much with other students. However, she was a hardworking and smart student who scored excellent results for SPM.

“She was from a poor family, and I used to send her home on my way back home after school. She would ask to be dropped off by the main road in Bagan Ajam and she would walk to her apartment,” the teacher said.

“Pui Yi was never hoity or boastful, but very humble and nice.”

Social media influencer Siew kicked off 2022 with a blast by appearing nude on Penthouse’s January edition and as its cover model.

The Malaysian model, YouTuber and cosmetic entrepreneur has a huge following and boasts of having 17 million followers on her Instagram.

She had posted a picture of her holding a copy of the magazine as well as other pictures of herself in bikinis.

Penthouse, which is notorious for featuring fully nude models, mentioned Siew as hailing from Penang.

“I will be the first Southeast Asian woman to be on the cover issues (sic). It’s my honor to be the pet of the month (sic).”

According to information published in Penthouse, Siew previously worked as a waitress and usher, and has most recently been acting, modelling and building her makeup empire.

In excerpts of interviews done over social media, Siew, who was apparently born in Kuala Lumpur but spent her formative years in Butterworth, Penang, said she had posed for nude photographs, which she stored on her laptop.

The data on the laptop was hacked when she sent it for repairs in 2019, and someone tried to extort her by seeking RM50,000 for the return of the revealing photographs.

Some of the photos also made it into explicit sites. It prompted her to contemplate suicide before she came back from the brink and decided to take control of the situation.

She decided to pose for more sexy shots and allowed herself to be photographed in various erotic poses in exotic locations throughout the country.

In a recent Instagram post, she shared the results of her success and fame with the purchase of a brand new Porsche car.

“I’m filled with joy and tears. Finally achieved a goal I had since high school. I got myself a Porsche at 23. This gift is dedicated to myself for the Christmas month.” – The Vibes, January 2, 2022
