KUALA LUMPUR - The country recorded 869 fresh Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total of cumulative cases to 42,050 cases since the pandemic began.
The Health Ministry said six deaths were also recorded, while the overall death toll stands at 300 cases.
Of the total currently infected, 82 cases were under the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 27 needed ventilators.
It said 725 people had recovered today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 30,304.
Sabah recorded the highest number of cases at 397, with 69 from existing clusters and 23 from new clusters.
The ministry said 215 cases in the worst-hit state were close contacts, while 90 were detected from other screenings.
Second to Sabah was Selangor with 236 cases, of which 162 came from existing clusters and 33 from close contacts.
Another 40 cases in Selangor were detected from other screenings while one imported case involving a non-citizen who arrived from Nepal was recorded.
Negri Sembilan saw 141 cases, while Pulau Pinang reported 27 transmissions. Kuala Lumpur detected 19, while Perak recorded 12, and Kedah saw three cases.
The ministry said Johor's new infections were at eight while Kelantan, Labuan, and Sarawak saw nine, eight, and six cases respectively; Putrajaya recorded three cases. – The Vibes, November 10, 2020
