KUALA LUMPUR – The tragic death of 13-year-old Revnesh Kumar was unrelated to the Covid-19 vaccine he had received according to doctors in their autopsy report.

The matter was confirmed by Revnesh’s mother Vijayarani Govindan after the family received the preliminary post-mortem report, today.

“The report states that Revnesh died a sudden death as test results showed that his organs were all healthy and his body was not affected by the vaccine,” she was quoted as saying by Free Malaysia Today.

The development came after Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin confirmed that the autopsy report on the teenager’s death would be submitted to his parents at 2.30pm, today.

He said in a press conference that this followed a meeting among senior forensic experts from his ministry yesterday at Serdang Hospital.

This comes amid criticism by three civil society organisations (CSOs) – Global Human Rights Federation, Malaysia Tamilar Munetra Kalagam, and Persatuan Pengguna Islam – over the apparent lack of responsibility on the ministry’s part.

At the same time as Khairy’s announcement, representatives from the three CSOs urged the ministry to be truthful and transparent regarding Revnesh’s death.

Meanwhile, the doctors, Vijayarani added, had informed the family that the autopsy report would take another week to be completed while the full medical report would take time.

It is learnt that the family had visited the Kajang Hospital at 4pm today to receive the preliminary report from Serdang Hospital forensic pathologist Dr Emizam Mohamadon.

Earlier, Revnesh’s family was forced to continue their agonising wait for officials to provide an explanation for the death of their 13-year-old, 18 days after receiving his first Covid-19 vaccination.

Revnesh’s death certificate had listed the cause of death as “pending laboratory investigation”.

On January 16, 18 days after Revnesh’s first vaccination shot, the teen was on his way to karate lessons when he began vomiting and subsequently collapsed. He was then rushed to the Cheras Batu 9 public health clinic where he was pronounced dead.– The Vibes, March 9, 2022
