KUALA LUMPUR – Whether the government intends to renegotiate with highway concessionaire companies on a takeover will be brought up in Parliament today.

Based on the Order Paper, a question on the matter will be raised by Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (BN-Padang Terap) to the works minister.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (Bersatu-Tambun) will ask the prime minister about the status of an application to upgrade the Pulau Pangkor jetty, as well as the move to reduce the duty-free condition on Pulau Pangkor from 48 hours to 24.

There will be a question from Nor Azrina Surip (PH-Merbok) to the tourism, arts and culture minister on measures to promote the Sg Batu archaeological site as a tourist attraction.

Fuziah Salleh (PH-Kuantan) will ask the women, family and community development minister on cooperation with the Health Ministry in efforts to address the issue of second-hand smoke, which affects the health of smokers’ family members.

This will be followed by the debate on Budget 2021. – Bernama, November 23, 2020
