KUALA LUMPUR – “There is still hope,” this is the ultimate message Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wants Malaysians to believe as they cast their votes in the 15th general election (GE15) this Saturday.

In his special address, PH’s prime minister candidate said GE15 presented citizens the best opportunity to “save” Malaysia by making sweeping changes, beginning with a new government.

“This election is not about changing the prime minister...once every five years, you have the power to choose the direction of your nation and the government you want.

“Use your power now. bring hope to this nation. Together, we can,” he said in an address that was broadcast live on his Facebook this evening.

In rallying Malaysians ahead of polling day, Anwar said it is supposed to be the job of the government to ensure that all Malaysians have a chance to earn a decent living and take care of their families.

“Malaysia is God’s country, blessed with natural resources, fertile land and an inspiring citizenry.

“How dare we allow corrupt and incompetent people to threaten this. Malaysian who vote on Saturday have an opportunity to take charge and create their own future.”

Anwar said PH is committed to bring positive changes to the country and vows to champion the rights of all citizens, including small and medium businesses.

Separately, he said the coalition also promises to support and take good care of the welfare of civil servants.

“God willing, you will see a civil service that achieves new levels of excellence, service and commitment to improving the lives of the rakyat. We can do this with a stable government,” he said.

Anwar said a stable government is one that defends the federal constitution and whose leaders serve the rakyat and not their personal interest. They must also be ethical and reject corruption.

“PH offers Malaysians a formula to a stable government that will carry out the policies that will restore our nation to its former glory.

“PH has a team of leaders who are committed to an agenda that shows care and compassion for all Malaysians.

“Our leaders have demonstrated their honesty and integrity. Through their service to the rakyat, we will restore trust between the government and the people.”

Anwar then added that a PH government will reject any form of intolerance and bigotry. – The Vibes, November 17, 2022
