PUTRAJAYA – Agrobank today contributed RM1 million of its zakat fund to the Health Ministry’s Covid-19 fund.

A Zakat Contribution Presentation Ceremony was held today at the ministry here, which saw Datuk Mustapha Buang, Chairman of Agrobank presenting the mock cheque to Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba.

Mustapha said that as a responsible corporate citizen who is aware of the challenges faced by the Health Ministry in combating the Covid-19 pandemic, Agrobank is pleased to be able to lend a helping hand in supporting frontliners. 

“With the rising numbers of Covid-19 cases, we hope with our contribution, it will assist MOH financially and enable them to provide the best medical care to Covid-19 patients,” he said.

“As a financial institution, Agrobank provides essential services during the pandemic and we are also frontliners. On a daily basis, our staff are on the ground to help our customers who are facing financial adversities due to the current economic situation due to the pandemic. So we understand the challenges and risks faced by frontliners.” – Bernama, December 3, 2020.
