SINGAPORE – The republic reported its 33rd Covid-19 death yesterday.
The Health Ministry, in its report last night, said the latest fatality is a 95-year-old local woman.
The victim was confirmed positive for the disease on May 17, when she was warded at Changi General Hospital for an unrelated medical condition.
“She had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, and had a history of cancer, hypertension and hypothyroidism,” said the ministry.
Prior to this, Singapore’s last virus death was reported on May 20.
As of yesterday afternoon, the country’s Covid-19 caseload stood at 62,028, with 39 clusters still active. – Bernama, May 31, 2021
