YOUTH and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh was recently forced to wear her singing cap after being “ambushed” by local singer Misha Omar.

Busy with her handphone, Yeoh did not realise Misha was just behind her and was caught off-guard when she was asked to take the microphone.

Yeoh insisted that she did not want to sing and later said on her TikTok, “It was scary because I couldn’t sing well”.

Misha was at the time singing “Standing in the Eyes of The World” – the official song of the 1998 Commonwealth Games by local rock queen Ella.

After persuasion from Misha, Yeoh gave in but only sang one line from the chorus before passing the microphone back.

Netizens who saw the video described Yeoh as “comel” (cute) and said that while they were fans of Misha, they were now fans of Hannah too. – The Vibes, November 27, 2023
