Netizens call for immediate action after three cats found stabbed in their heads
Reports said the cats were found in the courtyard on the third floor of a building block.

NETIZENS are calling for immediate action to be taken against the person responsible for the inhumane killing of three cats found at the TARUMT campus grounds in Setapak.

According to a TikTok post by user Nanisnanaa, the cats had stab wounds in their head and were left to die at the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology grounds.

Upset and disturbed netizens have since tagged the Department of Veterinary Services, calling for immediate action.

Others said the matter had also since been reported to the authorities, including the police.

However, according to comments, the police said they could only act if the university lodges a report.

Some also expressed concern over the safety of other stray cats roaming around the campus.

According to reports in Sin Chew Daily, several of the students were aware of the incidents and had called on the university management to investigate.

The report said the cats were found in the courtyard on the third floor of a building block.

The students believed that someone had killed the cats in another location and discarded them in the courtyard.

The report further stated that several students even tried to retrieve CCTV footage, but the cameras only covered the first floor. - November 27, 2024
