A TEENAGE boy was brought before the Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to face a charge of murdering a 16-year-old female student, who died after being repeatedly stabbed at a secondary school in Bandar Utama, Malaysia.

The boy, aged 14 and a Form One transition class student at the same school, is charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

In a statement, the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) confirmed it had received the investigation papers from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for further action.

“Following a thorough review of the investigation papers, it was found that there is sufficient basis for a charge to be brought against the student involved in the incident,” said the AGC.

The same court had previously issued remand orders on 15 and 21 October, allowing the suspect to be detained for a total of 14 days to assist with investigations.

Due to the accused’s status as a minor, he may have been brought into the court through an alternate route, making it difficult for media to photograph him.

The fatal incident occurred on 14 October, when the Form Three transition class student was found dead in the school’s toilet, having allegedly suffered multiple stab wounds. - October 22, 2025
