A MOTORCYCLIST was almost killed when a burger stall being transported on a lorry fell on him along Jalan Medan Saujana 3, Taiping.
The incident is believed to have occurred at around 3.30 pm on January 20 and has gone viral since yesterday, involving a Hino lorry, a motorcycle and a car.
Taiping District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Malek Ismail, said initial investigations found that the lorry, driven by a 30-year-old man, was transporting a burger stall from Taiping towards Kamunting and entered a one-way road before it is believed to have lost control.
"As a result, the burger stall toppled over and hit a motorcycle being ridden by a 28-year-old man and a Proton Saga FL driven by a 34-year-old woman.
"The car driver was reported to have suffered no injuries, while the motorcyclist suffered minor injuries to his forehead and neck, as well as cuts to his hands and legs," he said in a statement.
According to him, a summons has been issued while the victim is receiving treatment at Taiping Hospital.
