Rafizi faces escalating legal challenge with second demand linked to foreign worker system row
The Pandan MP says a fresh legal demand from the founder of Bestinet adds to an ongoing court case - April 23, 2026

A DISPUTE surrounding Malaysia’s foreign worker recruitment system has intensified, with Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli confirming he has received a second letter of demand (LOD), this time from the founder of the company allegedly at the centre of the controversy.

In a statement today, Rafizi said the latest legal move comes on top of an existing lawsuit filed by Bestinet Sdn Bhd, which operates the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System.

“I have received another letter of demand regarding the issue of the foreign worker recruitment system. The second letter of demand is from Datuk Sri Aminul Islam Abdul Nor, the founder and owner of Bestinet Sdn Bhd,” Rafizi said, marking a further escalation in the legal dispute.

He noted that the first case, already before the courts, was initiated by the company itself over matters linked to the system’s management and operations.

“The first lawsuit, which is now ongoing in court, is from Bestinet Sdn Bhd, the operator of the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System (FWCMS),” he added.

He added that he has referred both matters to his legal representatives for review and response.

“I have asked my legal team to handle this matter. The legal team will take the necessary action based on their assessment,” he said. - April 23, 2026
