UMNO is ready to accept any leaders and members of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) who have been dismissed or suspended.

Its Secretary-General, Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, said Umno is opening its doors to all parties without any conditions, including Bersatu leaders and members who have been subject to disciplinary action by the party.

“Return to our house! Umno is ready to accept anyone without conditions, including Bersatu leaders and members who have been dismissed or suspended.

“After all, they all come from the Umno fold, and it's time to return home,” he said in a post on the media on his Facebook page today.

The statement was made several hours after the Bersatu disciplinary board dismissed and suspended the membership of several elected representatives and party leaders with immediate effect.

Among those dismissed were Suka Menanti assemblyman Dzowahir Ab Ghani, Sungai Tiang assemblyman Abdul Razak Khamis, and Hulu Langat Division Chief Muhammad Faiz Rahmad.

Five Members of Parliament were suspended from their membership for two terms, namely Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (Tanah Merah), Datuk Abdul Khalib Abdullah (Rompin), Nordin Ahmad Ismail (Lumut), Datuk Rosol Wahid (Hulu Terengganu) and Datuk Khlir Mohd Nor (Ketereh).

Also subject to action were Kuala Sepetang assemblyman Ahmad Man and Chenderoh assemblyman Syed Lukman Hakim Syed Mohd Zain.

Bersatu announced that the action was taken because they were found to have violated Clause 9.1.4 of the party constitution as well as the Members' Code of Ethics and Conduct. – May 9, 2026
