Another state seat in the Rembau Parliament that will see a one-on-one contest is the Chembong state seat. - July 18, 2026

BARISAN Nasional (BN) Deputy Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, will face a one-on-one contest in the Rantau State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) on August 1.

Mohamad, who has also held the state seat since 2004, will face Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate, Dr Azizul Hakim Mahdi.

Another state seat in the Rembau Parliament that will see a one-on-one contest is the Chembong state seat.

BN candidate, Datuk Zaifulbahri Idris, who has also been the incumbent since 2008, will face PKR candidate, Danish Nazran Murad.

Meanwhile, the Paroi state seat will witness a three-cornered contest between PN, PH and BERSATU.

PN is represented by PAS candidate, Kamarul Ridzuan Mohd Zin, who is also the incumbent and will face PH candidates, Ahmad Shahir Mohd Shah and Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus from BERSATU.

In addition, the Kota state seat will also witness a three-cornered contest between the three parties.

BN is represented by Suhaimi Aini, who is also the incumbent and will face Muhammad Allif Ibrahim from PKR and Akmal Noradzmi Abd Rahim from BERSATU. – July 18, 2026
