KOTA KINABALU - Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin expressed his gratitude to the people of Sabah for voting in Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), which consists of Barisan Nasional (BN), Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).

He vowed that the state will excel under PN, while ordering elected representatives to start working on the coalition's "Aku Janji" manifesto.

"I was informed that the official result announced by the Election Commission is that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah alliance have captured 38 seats.

"This shows that Sabahans have faith on our candidates... They (candidates) will now have to take their duties responsibly and with dedication to deliver what was promised in our manifesto," he said tonight.

As at midnight, PN had won 17 seats, Barisan Nasional 14 seats and PBS 7 seats, beating the Warisan Plus coalition that won 32 seats.
