MIRI – Flash floods in Sarawak today have brought crocodiles into villages in two districts.
The state Forestry Corporation (SFC) said at least two crocodiles have been captured after they swam into inundated villages.
“The crocodiles were caught by fire and rescue personnel in Kg Melango, Sarikei and Kg Hijrah in Simunjan early today,” said an SFC official.
“Residents who spotted the crocs alerted the Bomba units.
“The croc in Kg Melango measured about 3m long, and the one in Kg Hijrah was about 1.5m long.
“They were captured alive and handed to us.”
