KUALA LUMPUR – The Village Grocer supermarket in Bangsar Village is closed today after a part-time staffer tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

In a statement today, the company said the affected staffer shared the antigen test results yesterday but last reported for work on January 21.

“While waiting for the PCR test result, we have decided to close one day – January 29 – to have all staff to undergo a swab test and for the store to undergo deep cleaning and sanitisation as part of our safety precautions for the safety of our staff and customers.”

The supermarket will resume business tomorrow, it said.

Meanwhile, its outlet in Melawati Mall is also closed today after a staffer in the outlet’s fruits and vegetable department was confirmed positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

The staff member last reported for work the day before.
